Ants with a numbing bite

These ants pop up all over our garden. When they bite it leaves a numb sensation in your foot or wherever. Are these green ants? Poeple I've talked to say they must be green ants...but they aren't green

This is in QLD. They're not fire ants because the inspectors have already checked out this area.

No they are not green ants, green ants will not stay on the ground, they are known as green tree ants, they have a belly that when bitten tastes of a strong citrus fruit, full of vitimans and very tasty, these ants look nothing like it. Are you in Aussie, if so let us know what state, it is important to know where you are from and where these ants are, you are lucky they arent a fire ant, then you will be in trouble
