How do I rotate text in open office writer

Details

I'm trying to create text in Open Office writer that is perpendicular to other text on the page, i.e rotated 90 degrees.
How can I do this, I can't see any alignment options for rotating text.

Takes a bit to find it because its tucked away.

You need to select the text you want to rotate, then right click and choose "Edit Paragraph Style" from the menu. Once you're in there you can choose the "Position" tab...halfway down you'll see Rotation/Scaling options which you can select.

Hope that helps you.
