How do you remove ink stains from silk

Details

Is there anyway to remove ink from silk without totally ruining the shirt?
It's come from a ballpoint pen I'd say.

You can remove ink stains from silk by using a damp sponge or cloth and hairspray and vinegar.

You need to place a clean white cloth under then stained area and using a damp cloth or sponge start dampening the area with water.
Give the stain a a small spray with hair spray and then add a few drops of white vinegar and water to the stain.

Resume blotting the stain with small amounts of water and vinegar and let it stand for a few minutes. Then do it again, make sure you use a clean area of the cloth to blot up the stain so that you don't spread it back in more.

If you aren't game to try this then you could take it to a professional cleaner, as they probably deal with these things all the time.
