Restoration of Antique clothing
Details
I have a christening dress that is 114 years old, dating out of 1894. It is in desperate need of restoration, but I don't want some hacker working on it, as it is my Great Grandfather's dress he was christened in. I want contact details of any descent restorers of clothing in South Africa. But have been unsuccessful in locating anybody willing to do this. Help will be duly appreciated.

I don't know of any antique clothes restorers in South Africa but maybe you could try going to a vintage clothes store and ask if they do restoration work.
The alternative to that is to go to a museum that has textiles and ask them how or who they use to restore or maintain their textiles.
