I hadn't seen any other coloured lady beetles except red and black until this little guy (or girl) landed on me. It's kind of yellowish /green with black lines.

Anyone know if these are common? This was in Hornsby, N.S.W.

Sorry about the image quality, my camera doesn't take very good macro shots...

I think there about 50 -60 diferent varieties of lady beetle and they come in various different colour combinations..I heard someone recently doing a study on the little things..there may be something on the internet about this study

These guys I think are commonly called netted or netty ladybird beetles. Obviously because of its net shaped markings rather than the usual spotted appearance.

I have no idea specifically what sort it is though.
